Summer Enrichment
Our tutors provide summer enrichment to keep up skills, explore books and learning in all subjects. Beats those workbooks you bought and they hate doing so much!
We will review, teach, and reteach the following concepts, necessary for a successful start into kindergarten through a variety of games, manipulatives, journaling, books, and imaginative play.
Reading
Letters, phonics, sight words, vocabulary, comprehension skills, sequencing, recognizing and using rhyming words
Math
Identifying and counting numbers, patterns, grouping, tessellations, problem solving, tangrams, understanding spatial relationships (bottom/top, near/far, behind/ahead), recognizing patterns and shapes, recite days of the week and months of the year, classifying
Handwriting
Letter formation for both capitals and lower case
Fine motor skills
Skills such as cutting, stringing, tying shoes, coloring, pasting, buttoning, pencil grip
Language
Building solid oral language and vocabulary, speaking in complete sentences
Listening
Developing listening skills and following multiple set directions, recite and write full name, address and phone number
